Ein Favicon (von Favorit und Icon ) ist ein kleines, meist 16×16 oder 32×32 Pixel großes Bildchen, welches in der Adresszeile eines Browsers links vom URL angezeigt wird und meist dazu dient, die zugehörige Website auf wiedererkennbare Weise zu kennzeichnen. Es taucht auch in der Lesezeichenleiste (Favoriten) und unter Windows beim Speichern einer Seite auf dem Desktop auf.
Since my blog redesign I have a custom favicon that is displayed instead of the default blogger icon. In a comment was asked how to integrate such a favicon in your own blog. Here's the procedure.
- A favicon is a graphics program (GIMP , Photofiltre , ...) are created or, for example with the Favicon Generator . The pictures must be no. ico file, it works at least in Firefox (see Wikipedia ) with other image formats, such as, for example. png!
