Sometimes it is almost superfluous to make the effort to draft a new text. There are so many great poems and essays. A fragment from the complete works of Erich Fried is here today to encourage reflection. Of course I want to be a bit special and not let the records speak for themselves. As early as 2001, Paul Kalkbrenner these lines for his album "Superimpose" set to music - can listen to it, the gentle reader, at the end of this entry.

There's a writer's block. In a secure staccato the keywords race through his head. Longing, loneliness and the murderous word love. I am satiated, like so many of my peers. We indulge in a frenzy of consumption and culture. The suggestion of infinity, is sold to us as a product. We accept with gratitude. Do we allow ourselves to educate hedonists? We laugh without restraint until the Dispositonskredit ausgereizt und vom Monat noch zu viel übrig ist, um diesen Umstand zu ignorieren. Hier beginnt, dann das Leid: Wir wollen ausgleichen. Wir wollen "auf Null kommen". Der Sardonismus liegt darin, dann zu akzeptieren, dass es sich um das Ziel handelt, nichts zu besitzen. Das krampfartige sardonische Gelächter, an dem die Seele unbeteiligt ist. Das Leid ist also nicht schmerzhaft genug. Die betäubende Wirkung des Konsums ist ein Narkotikum. Das Viertel in dem du lebst ist repräsentativer geworden, als der Inhalt deines Buchregals. Die Ray Ban Aviator küsst die Ray Ban Wayfarer. Urbane Liebe.

Es wird erstmal munter selektiert, bevor der eigentliche Mensch in den Vordergrund gerückt wird. So entsteht eine gespaltene, misstrauische Gesellschaft, die einem strukturlosen Wandmosaik gleicht. So farbenfroh und kunstvoll es auch scheint, hinterlässt es einen ahnungslosen Betrachter. Was will der Künstler mir hiermit sagen? Das Chaos lässt keine Entspannung zu, es steht in Opposition zu Kosmos. Es ist die Disharmonie.
Lösungsvorschläge gibt es. Marx setzte damit an zu sagen, dass unser Sein das Bewusstsein bestimmt. Möglicherweise hat er im gesamtgesellschaftlichen Kontext damit recht. Sicher ist man sich nicht und muss man auch nicht sein. Die kleinste Einheit in unserer Gesellschaft sind schließlich auch wir selbst. Hier beginnt die Veränderung meist mit einem persönlichen Paradigmenwechsel - also einer radikalen Veränderung im eigenen Bewusstsein. Dazu müssen wir nicht erst Asketen werden.
Nebenbei gibt es noch Zustände zwischen Askese und Libertinage. Grauzonen. Der mutige Spagat. Das kann wehtun, wenn man lange bequem auf weichen Kissen gesessen und einen Ipanema nach dem anderen geschlürft hat. Ein vielzitiertes Sprichwort lautet: Schmerz ist, wenn die Schwäche den Körper verlässt. Hier passt es vortrefflich. Ich halte nicht viel von einem weltfremdem Exil, auf einer spirituellen Insel. Es ist mutig, dies zu heute zu schreiben, aber ebenso ist es feige es nicht zu tun. Bleiben wir objektive Menschen, wenn es um Geschichte und Politik geht.
Der mediale Fokus lag in den vergangenen Wochen auf den Präsidentschaftswahlen in Iran, wie nie zuvor. Kaum verwunderlich, denn weite Teile der Welt wünschten sich die Abwahl des Amtsinhabers Mahmoud Ahmadinedjad. Es sah, wenn man dem von den Medien vermittelten Stimmungsbild Glauben schenken wollte, gut aus. Der Mitbewerber Mir Hossein Mussawi war von 1981 bis 1989 Premierminister der islamischen Republik and appeared after his retirement from politics, to have changed for the hard-line reform-minded conservatives.
